The 2022 Lincoln Aviator has been released and is available to drive in Colorado Springs. All Aviator models are built at the Chicago Assembly Plant, along with the Explorer and Ford Police Interceptor Utility vehicles.

2022 Lincoln Aviator Engine

The 2022 Lincoln Aviator comes with two powertrain options. The standard setup comes with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 that outputs 400 horsepower. However, there's the option to add a lithium-ion battery pack and electric motor to the engine with Grand Touring trim levels. This plug-in-hybrid produces 494 horsepower.

2022 Lincoln Aviator Fuel Capacity & MPG

The 2022 Lincoln Aviator holds 20.2 gallons of fuel. The standard models are rated at 18/26 mpg with RWD and 17/24 mpg when all-wheel drive is added. However, the hybrid Aviator earns 56 MPGe combined when in EV mode and 23 mpg if used in hybrid mode. It takes about three to four hours to recharge when plugged into a 240v outlet.

2022 Lincoln Aviator Trunk & Cargo Space

The 2022 Lincoln Aviator comes with 18.3 cubic feet in the rear of the SUV. If you put the back seats down, you will have 41.8 cubic feet, with a total of 77.7 cubic feet, when all of the back seats are folded down. The base model also comes standard with a power liftgate, but a hands-free option is available.

All 2022 Lincoln Aviator models come with a ten-speed automatic transmission and your choice between rear- and all-wheel-drive. With the Class IV tow package and the right equipment, the new Aviator can tow up to 6,700 pounds. The Grand Touring trims offer 21 miles of all-electric travel and provide a maximum 5,600-pound maximum tow rating.
