The 2022 Lincoln Navigator comes with a 400-horsepower 3.5-liter EcoBoost turbo V6 engine. We also expect a hybrid option that might output 430 horsepower. The 2022 Ford Expedition includes a 375- or 400-horsepower variant of the 3.5-liter EcoBoost turbo V6 along with a hybrid powertrain. Both models include a ten-speed automatic transmission no matter which engine you choose.
2022 Lincoln Navigator vs. Ford Expedition Fuel Capacity & MPG
The 2022 Lincoln Navigator fuel tank measures 27.8 gallons, while the 2022 Ford Expedition can hold 25 gallons. While there are no concrete fuel economy numbers for either model yet, we expect the best figures with the hybrid powertrains.

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator offers 19.3 cubic feet of cargo

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator comes with a larger diagonal touchscreen than in previous years, as well as the SYNC 3 infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a navigation system, six USB ports, a Wi-Fi hot spot, satellite radio and a 14-speaker premium sound system. In comparison, the 2022 Ford Expedition includes a large diagonal touchscreen, a SYNC 3 infotainment system, a Wi-Fi hot spot, four USB ports, satellite radio, voice recognition, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Both vehicles include plenty of standard safety features, such as blind spot monitoring, a rearview camera, rear cross traffic alert, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, forward collision warning and automatic high-beam headlights. However, the 2022 Lincoln Navigator also includes front and rear parking sensors, pedestrian detection and the MyKey secondary driver system.

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator and Ford Expedition both provide enough space to hold seven or eight people based on the configuration you choose. While the new Expedition comes with many premium features, it's the 2022 Lincoln Navigator that is more geared toward the luxury feel you desire.Â

Both the 2022 Lincoln Navigator and Ford Expedition received a few updates to the styling, but nothing that changes the overall appearance drastically from the previous year.
